All motives were chosen so that you will be able to cut
them up on all sides without losing effect on the whole.
- Preparation of the surface
The wall must be prepared like for the traditional wall papers. The
surface must be clean, smooth and not fatty - oil painting must be
sanded completely, rests of wall papers are to take away, impurities
are to sand and holes or fissures to cement. To allow a good drying,
the surface must be able to absorb humidity.
- Glue
Use a glue for traditional wall papers with reached instructions.
- Draw ledger lines
Many walls are not right-angled. It is recommended to you to begin
to paste in the middle of the wall. You may need a horizontal line and
a vertical line to help yourself, just draw it with the pencil
and aid of a water-level and with a plumb.
- Paperhanging
Glue every party (one by one) with regular movements. Don't forget the corners.
Important : Do not let gush the glue for
a long time on paper (max. 1 - 2 min.) and do not stack the glued parts together.
- Apply
Apply the corresponding parts against the ledger lines. Slick
downwards and dispel the air from the middle towards sides.
Parts can
overlap from 2 to 3 mm.
- Drying
The drying must be slowly made to avoid a separation at the junctions or
cracks in the paper. Let dry at 18 - 20 °, avoid air drafts (keep
the windows closed, avoid overheating in winter).
- Superluous edges
You can take away the superfluous edges from the photomural with a cutter.
